Seattle Children’s Hospital Tentative Agreement Reached!
Our Union Bargaining Team met with Seattle Children’s Hospital Management on Monday, February 24 in our continuing quest to come to a comprehensive Tentative Agreement on all outstanding issues. While the day stretched into the evening, with both parties working hard to come to an agreement, we finally managed to get an offer we could fully recommend around 9pm.
We won:
Significant wage increases that are competitive with Swedish Medical Center.
Moving to annual step increase on our wage scale without a minimum number of hours worked requirement. This include a one-time “true up” so that those regular FTEs that are .8 or lesser may request they are moved up the wage scale based on years of service with Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Improvements to call-back pay and some increases to several premiums.
An agreement to continue bargaining the creation of a Respiratory Therapy career ladder.
An increase to the yearly Education Fund from $500 to $600.
