Kaiser Pharmacy Contract Update

Our bargaining team: Cesar Galloso, Krystal Krotzer, Mark Stewart, JJ Benson, Kay Halverson, Jason Lindquist.

We have had 3 days of bargaining with Kaiser and spent a majority of our time talking about staffing, the challenges and shortfalls of the current system and adding some contract language to help resolve staffing issues and elevate unresolved staffing.

Members of our bargaining team deal with inadequate staffing every day and spoke about the ongoing challenges of being short-staffed. Management seemed interested and receptive. We were able to come to a tentative agreement on staffing language and created a (Staffing) Concern Form, so when we are faced with not having adequate staff, we can document the issue and elevate it to a higher level. We know this is a key priority from surveys.

We are looking forward to our next session on May 2 and will be discussing the Kaiser Restructure process.
