PRMCE TECH Online Vote on March 10

Through conference committee we have highlighted retention and recruitment issues throughout the Technical unit. Providence heard our suggestions and has proposed changes to Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) job titles and classifications. Specifically, the Employer is proposing to:

  • Renaming Respiratory Care Practitioner II to Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner while keeping it on the current Grade 16a wage scale.

  • Creating a new classification: Respiratory Care Practitioner Specialist Grade 18b wage scale.

  • The Hospital has indicated that:

  • A handful of current Respiratory Care Practitioner I employees may be eligible to transition into Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner roles.

  • A few Respiratory Care Practitioner II employees may be eligible to transition into Respiratory Care Practitioner Specialist roles.

Since this Letter of Understanding (LOU) would modify the current Tech contract, RCP union members in good standing must vote to approve it. If you are not currently a union member and would like to vote, please fill-out a union membership application prior to March 10: join.ufcw.org/join/3000

Make sure your personal contact information is up to date! Online voting will take place Monday, March 10 from 8am to 2pm. An email will be sent from SimplyVoting to your email on file with UFCW 3000 on March 10 at 8am.
